Cheesecake in a Jar
Introduced to me by a customer during the 2011 Holiday Season, Cheesecake in a Jar receives mixed reactions. Some think it’s an
excellent idea; others aren’t so enthused about eating cheesecake in a jar??? For certain, once a person is reeled in, at
some point they end up giving in to the treat in the 4 oz. jelly jar, usually more than once.
Rachel’s Delectables is by no means the originator of the
single serving of cheesecake in a jar which provides wonderful portion
control. Martha Stewart and at least two
to three other cheesecake companies provide their own rendition of the on the
go dessert.
Behind the scenes the Rachel’s Delectables Cheesecake in a
Jar is undergoing quite a transformation to hopefully be unveiled in a couple
of local stores in Asheville, North Carolina. Until then, it’s available at Tailgate Markets, online and a
great Holiday Gift Box Sampler is ready to be shipped to your friends and loved
ones!
The sampler could also make a great corporate gift as could
any of the cheesecakes available for purchase from Rachel’s Delectables.

St. Patrick's Day Cheesecake
What's for dessert at Rachel's Delectables in honor of St. Patrick's Day? How does Pistachio Cheesecake sound? A blend of cream cheese, sour cream, pistachio pudding, small pieces of pistachios on a chocolate Oreo cookie crumb crust, topped with a light coating of fresh whipped cream underneath a bed of crushed pistachios.
Pistachios are one on my favorite nuts to snack on, so I really can't wait to taste the merger of two of my favorite foods: Cheesecake and Pistachios. I will have to enjoy in moderation or follow it up with a heavy dosage of physical activity. I am fighting the fight with Weight Watchers, so I can't afford to live unbalanced in my diet, but there are still some pleasures to enjoy in moderation!
Next flavor up for March 17th - Key Lime Cheesecake, usually a summer dessert for me, but fits right into the Irish Green Theme. Did you know that the original color of St. Patrick was blue? Somehow over the years green and the use of Shamrocks to commemorate St. Patrick grew. St. Patrick's Day is probably the most widely celebrated saints day in the world. What will you be doing to celebrate the day?
Let's follow up the Key Lime with Mint Cheesecake or Mint Chocolate Chip Cheesecake, take your pick, they both are delicious, with Cream Cheese, Sour Cream and Creme de menthe on a chocolate Oreo cookie crumb crust with or without the combination of chocolate chips. Wow, what a way to celebrate St. Patrick's Feast Day as the day was called in the 9th and 10th centuries.
What about Chocolate and Guinness Beer? Chocolate Guinness Cheesecake - Chocolate Cheesecake accented with the flavor of a Stout Beer straight from the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin -- smooth, creamy and oh so rich! Chocolate with the subtle hint of Guinness Beer, is your mouth watering yet? Did you know that all of Guinness Beer sold in the U.S. is brewed in Ireland at the historic St. James's Gate Brewery in Dublin?
Last but not least, Bailey's Irish Cream Cheesecake. Enjoy the best known Irish Cream in the world mixed with the irresistible experience of a Rachel's Delectables cheesecake. That is a win, win situation. It's the best of both worlds everyone will be happy and smiling with satisfaction!
